Self-awareness is key
The American Cancer Society says that all women should get to know how their breasts normally look and feel. Doing this can help ensure you notice any changes and recognize when it might be time to seek care. Changes to your breasts could include the following:
- Lump
- Leaky fluid or discharge other than breastmilk
- Swelling
- Skin irritation
- Skin dimpling
- Nipple problems such as pain, redness or flaking
Mammograms are available at the following FirstHealth locations:
- FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital
- FirstHealth Lee Campus
- FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital - Richmond
- FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital - Hoke
- FirstHealth Montgomery Memorial Hospital
If diagnosed with breast cancer, FirstHealth has dedicated breast nurse navigators to help patients navigate the disease and treatment process.
