Pamela J. Mason, BSN, R.N., CCRP earned a BSN degree from Appalachian State University after previously completing and associate degree in nursing from Central Carolina Community College. She has experience as a staff nurse, charge nurse, preceptor, audit nurse, nursing director and office nurse prior to working in clinical trials. She began working in clinical trials in 2009 and joined the FirstHealth clinical trials team in 2012. In addition to oncology, she has experience in allergy, immunology and rheumatology trials.
She is a member of the NRG Oncology PSC Committee Core for Quality Control and Communication, the NRG Oncology Cancer Prevention and Control Committee and the NRG Oncology Communication Committee. She is a member and holds a certification from the Society of Clinical Research Associates. She is also a member of the Oncology Nurse Society and the International Association of Clinical Research Nurses.

Natalie McBride joined FirstHealth’s Clinical Trials program in January of 2019. She received her Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care from Armstrong Atlantic State University located in her home state of Georgia. Natalie brings experience in pulmonary diseases and treatments. She has spent 14 years practicing as a respiratory therapist in Georgia, Northern Virginia and here in Pinehurst at FirstHealth. Julie Williams joined FirstHealth’s Clinical Trials program in March of 2016 after interning with the department while working towards her Master in Public Health which she earned in December of 2016 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Julie also holds a B.S. in Biology and Ph.D. in Oral Biology from UNC-Chapel Hill. Lindsey A. Ferry, BS, MBA, graduated from the University of Maryland and began working with clinical trials at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. Lindsey then moved to the pharmaceutical side of the clinical trial world and managed oncology trials at different institutions. She is now in the clinical field again because working with and educating patients is what makes her most fulfilled.
Tina Thompson began working at FirstHealth in 1988. Tina has worked in various departments at FirstHealth including seven years in radiation oncology beginning in 1990. Tina found an interest in clinical research through her position as the institutional review board coordinator with Community Health. Her passion for assisting in oncology care brought her back to the oncology service line in 2016 to the clinical trials department. Tina holds a certification from the Society of Clinical Research Associates and currently serves as the regulatory and financial manager in clinical trials. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, traveling and is dedicated to her work in her church.
