ALS/SCT
FirstHealth Regional Medical Transport is a highly trained service that provides hospital-to-hospital transport for critically ill and injured patients in support of our four-hospital system in Hoke, Montgomery, Moore and Richmond counties of North Carolina.
Our team can initiate or continue intensive and/or trauma care via our current treatment protocols. In any setting, we can maintain Online Medical Control for sudden changes in a patient’s health care requirements. Our team can transport ventilators, Ventricle Assist Devices, Impellas and many more advanced therapies.
One of the state's busiest inter-facility transport services, FirstHealth Regional Medical Transport and Specialty Care Transport transports approximately 450 critically ill or injured patients each month. Based in both Moore and Hoke counties, we can respond to each hospital we service in a timely manner.
BLS
Our Basic Life Support team will transport non-emergency patients after being discharged from the hospital to their home, to a skilled nursing facility or to an assisted living facility.
FirstHealth BLS services also provides basic transport to doctor’s appointments, outpatient procedures, and other non-emergency destinations. For those patients who may not meet the requirement for an ambulance transport, we can also provide transport via wheelchair van.
Fleet
Our fleet consists of three ALS/SCT transport teams 24 hours a day, with one ALS unit and one BLS unit working Monday through Friday.
We continue to improve our technological footprint on our vehicles with a GPS tracking system, wireless hot spots and use of the cloud for transmitting ECGs to the local emergency departments as well as FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.
