Your First Prenatal Visit

You should schedule your first prenatal visit as soon as you know you’re pregnant. Your first visit may include:

  • Reviewing your medical history
  • Physical exam
  • An estimate your baby’s gestational age and due date and possibly an ultrasound
  • Education on what you can do to keep yourself and your baby healthy throughout your pregnancy

Visit Schedule

There is an expected visit schedule for routine prenatal care. You should see your provider regularly throughout your pregnancy to monitor your health, measure your baby’s growth and address any questions. Individualized care may vary depending on circumstances related to the pregnancy and your health.
