Syringe Exchange Programs

A safer Syringe initiative is a project of the NC Division of Public Health to increase access to clean needles, hypodermic syringes and other injection supplies, to facilitate the safe disposal of used needles and provide information about harm reduction and preventative health. The Safer Syringe initiative began after the syringe exchange programs were legalized in NC in January 2016.
